GREENFIELD's origins derive principally from the Standard High-Pressure
Compressor business of Sulzer Burckhardt in Switzerland and include all the physical assets and
technological know-how, which is embodied in its dedicated staff of professionals and its well-known
products. In addition to this great legacy from Sulzer, GREENFIELD has been further enriched through
the acquisition of the company m-tec (formerly a Mannesmann unit) in Germany and Henderson International
Technologies (a renowned industrial gas pioneer) in the USA.
In March 2007 GREENFIELD's businesses have been taken over by Atlas Copco. Operating as a brand within the
Atlas Copco Group GREENFIELD today
has access to over 150 markets worldwide. The center of Excellence of GREENFIELD is in Pratteln near Basel,
Switzerland.
In June 2011 GREENFIELD was fully integrated into Atlas Copco Switzerland as a branch office.
